I received the lights today which was a prompt delivery, we are working on a new build and we wont be ready to install these for a while yet. The 12.6 inch globe seems quite large, I will have to wait and see once the cabinets are installed if they will fit in my space.

I was expecting the typical wire (hanger material) frame you get with most *cheap* paper lanterns, even though this wasn't cheap (in paper-lantern terms). The frame is a thick, coated wire and is sturdy. I love the shape of this and that the bottom is very wide open, it will cast a nicer light for where I want it than the traditional lantern it's replacing. That lantern has lasted more than 15 years; this paper is thick and substantial, I'm not worried about longevity with this at all, I'll have it for the rest of my life or until I get rid of it. The paper being thicker will also make it easier to dust.

The lamps were a little shorter than I thought they would be, but they produce enough light for the bedroom, yet it is cozy in there. Glad I got them.
